Now available in stores is Nikon’s first vlogging system camera, the Z30 from the mirrorless Z series. For vloggers, the camera is particularly interesting because it goes far beyond the results achievable with a smartphone and “creates better-looking and better-sounding vlogs.” Nikon states the EVP for the camera body at 799 Euros. Currently available on the market is the set with the DX 16-50mm lens for around 950 Euros.

Nikon advertises the features of the Z30 with the following features relevant to the vlogger:

Video AF mode: Use full-time autofocus to make focusing as easy as possible. Ideal for recording action or first-person vlogs on the go.
Self-portrait mode: As soon as you turn the monitor forward, the camera releases the screen for an unobstructed portrait view.
Eye and Pet Detection AF: Stays focused on the eyes of people, cats and dogs even when they briefly turn away from the camera – available for stills and movies.
11 fps: With fast continuous shooting with full tracking of focus and metering, users can take perfect continuous shots in the middle of the action.
Effortless recording: The movie recording button is located on the top of the camera, so you can easily access it in any orientation. Users can save separate settings for movie and photo shooting and switch between them as needed.
