There are transition periods and simplifications.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CE declarations of conformity certified by an EU Notified Body by 31.12.2022 will be recognized for a maximum of five years or until the certificate expires and the UKCA mark may be affixed to the goods. Until the end of 2025, this labeling may even be done by sticker or only in the operating instructions. The name and address of the importer must be equally documented by sticker or in accompanying documents that reach the end customer. After 2025, this information must be displayed directly on the product, for example on the nameplate.<\/p>\n<p>For many existing products, UKCA certification via a UK approved body will then be required from 2026 or after expiry of the current certificate validity. For products placed on the market for the first time on or after 1.1.23, certification by a UK testing body is mandatory.<\/p>\n<p>Relief continues to be available for spare parts. Acceptable without UKCA marking are durable spare parts to equipment that meet the same conditions that were met when the terminal equipment was first placed on the market.
